Books

The Books function, linked to the Librarian profile of the institution, allows parents to view available books and manage book reservations for their child. This guide will walk you through the steps to use this feature effectively.

Books

Step 1: Viewing Available Books

  1. Login to Your Parent Profile: Access the platform using your parent credentials.
  2. Navigate to Books: Locate and click on the Books section from the main menu.

Step 2: Available Books

  1. Browse Available Books: The interface will display a list of books that are available for students to use.
  2. Details: It will show the book title and other details such as the author, publication date, and a brief description.

Step 3: Reserving Books

  1. Select a Book: Browse through the available books and select the one you wish to reserve.
  2. Click on Reserve: There will be a Reserve button or link associated with each book. Click on it.
  3. Confirm Reservation: Follow the prompts to confirm the reservation. You may need to specify details such as the pickup date.


Borrowed Books

Step 1: Viewing Borrowed Books

  1. Navigate to Borrowed Books: Within the Books section, find and click on the Borrowed Books subsection.
  2. View Borrowed Books List: This will display a list of books currently on loan to your child.



By following these steps, parents can efficiently manage book reservations and track borrowed books, ensuring their child has the resources they need without incurring fines.
