GRADEBOOK

The GradeBook is a powerful tool that allows teachers to efficiently manage and record their students' grades. With this feature, teachers can view their assigned classes, create and edit assignments, record grades for various evaluations, monitor student behavior, and export grades for reporting purposes. The GradeBook also includes filters to view grades from previous terms and functionalities to request administrative permissions for modifying locked records.

Step 1: Select School Year and Semester

  • Upon accessing the GradeBook, you will see a filter option at the top.
  • This filter allows you to select a previous year and a semester to view grades from past terms. This is useful for reviewing historical data and ensuring all records are up to date.

Step 2: Select Class

  • Click on a card to view the details of the class, including the list of students, the current term date, and various functional buttons.

Step 3: Create Assignment

  • A form will appear where you need to fill in the following information:

  • After completing all fields, click "Save."
  • The system will return you to the student list where you can start entering grades for this assignment.

Step 4: Enter Grades

  • To enter grades, place your cursor on the line corresponding to the student's name.
  • Enter the grade and move to the next student. Repeat this process for all students in the class.

Step 5: Behavior Grades

  • Select students individually or select all at once.
  • Choose the term and assign the behavior grade.
  • Behavior grades will be displayed next to academic grades in the student's report.

Step 6: Mass Score Entry

  • Use this button to enter the same score for multiple students.
  • A list of students will be displayed where you can select the relevant evaluation.
  • Enter the score and select students by checking the boxes next to their names.

Step 7: Filters

  • Filters allow you to narrow down the information displayed in the GradeBook.
  • You can filter by quarter, assignment type, and mark type.
  • This helps in quickly finding specific records or viewing data in a more organized manner.

Step 8: Export Grades

  • Click on the "Export" button.
  • You will be able to generate a CSV file containing student grades.
  • Choose to export grades for the current quarter or all recorded terms.
  • This feature is useful for record-keeping, sharing with administration, or providing reports to students and parents.

By following these steps, teachers can effectively utilize the gradebook to manage their classes, record and edit grades, monitor student behavior, and generate reports. This comprehensive tool simplifies the grading process and ensures accurate and up-to-date student records.
