How to Record a Grade in a Closed Term

In cases where grades need to be recorded or corrected in a term that has already been closed, follow these steps:

Step 1: Create a New Assignment for the Closed Term

  • Go to the Gradebook and create a new assignment with a date within the closed term's period.

  • This allows you to enter grades for the missed or corrected assignment for the previous term.

Step 2: Request Authorization for Grade Modifications

  • To modify an existing grade from a previous term or year, click on the grade you wish to edit.
  • A dialog box will prompt that authorization is needed. An authorization request will be sent to the institution's Administrator.

  • Once the Administrator approves the change, you will have a 24-hour window to make the necessary adjustments to the grades.
