The Learning Management System (LMS) is a powerful tool designed to help teachers manage their classes, assign tasks, activities, and study materials, and interact with students. This guide will walk you through the essential steps to effectively use the LMS, from accessing the platform to managing and evaluating student work. By following these steps, you'll be able to make the most out of the LMS and ensure a smooth and productive teaching experience.
Step 1: Navigating Classes
- Semester Selection: On the top bar of the window, select the semester information you want to consult. The system defaults to the current academic semester.
- Class Cards: Each card represents a class you teach. These cards provide a quick overview and access to each class.
- Icons: Use the three buttons at the top of each card to choose an icon for each class. This helps in visually differentiating between your classes.
Step 2: Creating and Managing Tasks
- Select Class: Click on the card for the class you want to manage. This will open the class workspace where you can create and manage tasks.
- Add New Task: Click on the "New" button to create a new task. This opens a form where you can input all the necessary details for the task.
- Details: Enter the relevant information for the LMS task.
- Options:
- Toggles: Activate any necessary options, such as submission requirements or visibility settings.
- Attachments: Attach a document if required, such as additional reading material or templates.
- Publish: Click the green "Publish" button to finalize and post the task for students.
Once a task is created, several options become available:
- Edit: Modify the task details if needed.
- View: View the task details and instructions as students will see them.
- Student Evaluations: See and review student submissions.
- Delete: Remove the task if it is no longer needed.
Step 3: Reviewing Student Work
- Student Submissions: Click the blue "View Student Evaluations" button to see the list of student submissions. This will show all the tasks that students have submitted for review.
- Review: Click on "View Evaluation" to open and review a student's work. This allows you to provide feedback and grades.
