Record Student Grades

Guide for Using the Gradebook Feature

This guide will help teachers consult assigned classes, record student grades, create assignments, and manage grades within the Gradebook feature.


Step 1: Accessing Gradebook and Applying Filters

  1. Locate Filters: Use the filters to select the desired semester, including those not currently active, to consult previous grades.

Step 2: Viewing Class Information

  1. Select Class Cards: Choose a card representing each assigned class to view:
    1. List of students in the class.
    2. Current trimester date.
    3. Various function buttons.

Step 3: Create an Assignment

  1. To create an assigment: click at the upper right the "+" sign and:
    1. Assignment Type: Select the type of assignment. (Oral exam, classwork, homework, project, assessment, etc.)
    2. Title: Enter the title of the assignment.
    3. Date: Set the assignment date.
    4. Mark Type: Choose the evaluation method.
    5. Description: Optional. Add details about this specific assignment.
  2. Save Assignment: Click the "Save" button after entering all details.
  3. Enter Grades: Return to the student list and start entering grades by placing the cursor on the student's name line.



Step 4: Editing an Evaluation

  1. Correct Mistakes: If an error was made, use the "Edit" button to correct the evaluation details.
  2. View Assignment List: The system will show a list of all created assignments.
    1. Use filters: Filter the list by date, class, and assignment type to find the assignment quickly.
    2. Search box: Type the title of the assignment in the search box.
  3. Edit Assignment: Once you find the assignment, click on the green "Edit" button to change any detail.




Step 5: Assigning Behavior Grades

  1. Behavior Grade Box: Use this to assign behavior grades for each class.
    1. Select Students: Choose students individually or all at once.
    2. Choose Trimester and Grade: Select the trimester and the behavior grade to assign.
    3. View Behavior Grade: The behavior grade will appear next to the class grade in the student's grade report.



Step 6: Mass Score Entry

  1. Mass Score Entry Button: Use this button to assign the same score to multiple students.
    1. Choose an assignment
    2. Check the students who earned the same grade.
    3. Click "OK" to complete the mass score entry. Repeat as needed.




Step 7: Using Additional Filters

  1. Use the filters to select the quarter, type of assignment, and grading type for consultation.

Step 8: Modifying Previous Grades

  1. Search for Records: Use the Quarter filter to search for records from previous quarters.
  2. Request Access: If modifying a grade from a non-active quarter, click on the grade and the system will block the action. Click "Request access" for administration approval to modify the incorrect record.

Step 9: Exporting Grades

  1. Export Button: Use the export button to download a CSV file of the current quarter or all records.
  2. Export Options: Can export the current quarter or all quarters. 



By following these steps, teachers can efficiently manage class assignments, record grades, and maintain accurate records in the Gradebook feature.
