Safety Alert

Safety Alert

The Safety Alert functionality allows teachers to provide instant communication to parents about events that may cause concern, such as earthquakes, floods, hurricanes, and other emergencies. This feature sends a multi-channel notification (SMS, E-Mail, and Push Notification) to parents in case of an emergency. The teacher can indicate whether the student is "Safe" or "Not Safe" depending on the circumstances.

Step 1: Select the Student Group

Use the available filters to select the group you are working with. These filters may include grade level, class, or specific groups.

Step 2: Select Students to Notify

Click the checkbox next to each student you want to notify the parents about.
You can select individual students or use the "Select All" option if you need to notify all parents in the group.

Step 3: Set the Alert Details

Specify the date of the event by choosing the appropriate date from the calendar dropdown in the "Event Date" field.
For each selected student, set the safety status to either "Safe" or "Not Safe" using the “Mark As” dropdown menu.
From the predefined list of events, choose the type that best describes the current situation (e.g., Earthquake, Flood, Hurricane).
