This functionality empowers educators with the ability to tailor and fine-tune the information they utilize within their platform according to their unique preferences and teaching methodologies. By leveraging the settings function, teachers can customize various aspects of their virtual classroom environment, ensuring it aligns seamlessly with their instructional objectives and the needs of their students. From grading criteria to assessment methods, this feature offers a comprehensive suite of tools to enhance the teaching and learning experience.
Step 1: Weight
In this step, you can establish the weight conditions for graded assignments within the Gradebook. If opting for weight creation "By category," you're able to generate numerous categories to reach a total of 100 points or 100%. This entails selecting assessment types, assigning values, and specifying classes. Alternatively, the "By assignment type" option allows selection of assessment types for evaluation, with corresponding weight assignments and class selection.
Step 2: Skills
Here, the system permits the creation of various skills for utilization when crafting new assessments using this scoring method. Simply fill in the requisite details on the left side of the screen and click "Save" to create the skill.
Step 3: Virtual Classroom System
Although presently limited to selecting the CollegeOne virtual classroom, this step is designed to enable future selection of virtual classroom systems, providing flexibility in conducting online classes.
