Tax Rates Configuration

This article describes best practices for correctly configuring tax rates on the CollegeOne Smart POS device.

Step 1: Logging In

  • Log in to your CollegeOne Smart POS device with administrative privileges.

Step 2: Accessing the Configuration Section

  • Navigate to the configuration section on your device.

Step 3: Creating and Defining Tax Rates

  • Locate the field titled 'Tax Rates'.
  • Check if tax rates applicable to your country are pre-configured. If not, press the "New Tax" button to create new tax rates.
  • Create all applicable tax rates. Note that while creating or editing items, you can define which tax rates apply to each item.

Step 4: Defining Item Tax Rates

  • Access the Products section.
  • To define tax rates for existing items, press the 'List Products' option.
  • To create a new item and define its tax rate, press the 'Add Products' option.
  • In the "Tax Rate" field, select the applicable tax rate for the product.
  • Press the "Edit Product" button to save the changes.
